A Japanese haircut is not a hairstyle; it is a way of cutting. We read your head shape, growth pattern and the hair you actually have, then remove weight from the inside so the cut falls into place on its own — blow-dry and go, no flat iron every morning, even in Bangkok humidity. What makes a Japanese haircut different

Many salons cut to match a photo while you sit in the chair; the shape is built with a blow-dry and product, and disappears after your first wash at home. A Japanese cut works the other way round: the shape is designed from your skull and growth direction so the hair styles itself.

• Consultation before scissors — how short is acceptable, which side your fringe falls, how many minutes you have in the morning, whether you need to tie it up. We agree first.
• Structure wet, finish dry — the outline is cut wet, but thinning and ends are finished on dry hair, because dry is how you wear it.
• Internal thinning by zone — Asian hair is thick and straight; uniform surface thinning makes it puff out. We take weight only where it pushes, so it sits flat in humid air.
• Soft ends, no hard lines — it still looks intentional as it grows. Most guests return every 6–8 weeks.

• Your actual hair — density, coarse or fine, natural wave, cowlicks, growth direction at the nape and hairline
• Bangkok water and climate — humidity, sun, air-conditioning. A cut that looks right in a cold salon has to survive the walk outside.
• Lifestyle and maintenance — do you blow-dry, how much, do you tie it for work or the gym

What happens at your appointment

• 1. Consultation, 5–10 min — hair check, photos, agree length and fringe
• 2. Shampoo with a short scalp massage — included
• 3. Outline cut (wet) → 4. Blow-dry → 5. Thinning and finishing on dry hair
• 6. A finish you can repeat at home — minimal product, and we show you how to dry it

45–60 minutes. Colour, TOKIO treatment or a head spa can be added to the same visit.
