Aki is a Japanese-Thai hair stylist and colourist based in Bangkok. After four years mastering precision cutting and colour techniques at salons in Japan, he spent three years in Australia specialising in foil work and colour design for diverse hair types, with further experience in Dubai.
In October 2025 he opened Ciel Japanese Hair Studio in Phrom Phong, Bangkok. "Ciel" means "sky" in French — a space open to everyone.

The only Japanese stylist practising legally in Bangkok
Hairdressing is a profession closed to foreigners in Thailand. At most Japanese-run salons the Japanese staff manage or train while Thai staff do the service. Aki has a Japanese father and a Thai mother and holds Thai nationality, which makes him the only Japanese hairdresser in Bangkok who can legally work behind the chair. The salon is operated by a Thai company, MIYOSHI BEAUTY GROUP CO., LTD.
